Car parks in Lincoln

The City of Lincoln Council operates 20 car parks throughout the City, offering 2496 car parking spaces. Parking is available within the historic uphill district of the City, known as the Cathedral quarter offering easy access to both Cathedral and Castle, and in the City centre for motorists visiting the shopping centres, market area, Brayford Waterfront and Lincoln Marina.

Note: The car parks on this map are run by the City of Lincoln Council; there are a number of independent car parks in the city.

Car Park Charges

The Council has a pricing strategy based on SHOPPER (Red), VISITOR (Green) and COMMUTER (Blue). Prices are set to cover costs and the costs of associated services. To see prices for each car park, click on the coloured markers on the map above.

The City of Lincoln car parks are operated as Pay & Display, with CCTV coverage at some sites and are patrolled by City Council car parks patrol personnel. The City Council also operates a mobile security patrol that patrols City Council car parks with an evening car park charge.

Park & Pay by Phone

Lincoln car parks operate a Pay by Cell Phone scheme through Verrus.

Information for Motorcyclists

Dedicated parking bays for motorcycles are available in Lucy Tower car park on level 2. Simply purchase a ticket for £2 (all day) and display in the holder provided.

Park Mark

Park Mark is an award given by the Police to twenty of the Council’s car parks, which have achieved the standards under the Safer Parking Scheme. This scheme is designed to reduce crime and the fear of crime on car parks.

Did you know City of Lincoln Council Car Parks offer…?

  • 2496 'Pay & Display' car park spaces, Monday to Sunday
  • 6 coach park bays with 3 on Tentercroft Steet car park (Pre-booking is required for coach spaces as the Council reserves the right to use the spaces as an overfill car park.)
  • Strategically placed, marked spaces for disabled drivers
  • Season tickets for City Council car parks are available for business and commuters in Lucy Tower Street / Broadgate / Tentercroft Street / The Lawn / Chaplin Street / King Street and Langworthgate car parks, as well as day passes. You can find out more about season tickets and day passes here.

Of the 2496 'Pay & Display' spaces, some car parks are limited to a maximum stay of 2 hours or 4 hours. The purpose of this is to provide an adequate turnover of shopping amenity. In the other 'Pay & Display' car parks, users may stay for much longer.
