Events, entertainment and attractions

Lincoln is a historic city with the Cathedral sitting majestically atop ‘Steep Hill’. The landmark and can be seen for miles around in every direction and it’s a sight has welcomed visitors for nearly a thousand years.

Our local heritage dates back to Roman times with many heritage sites available to visit for free. Why not visit our handful of museums like the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, The Collection or the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum.

Visit the Castle built in 1068 by William the Conqueror or one of our many other attractions within the city.

Shopping within the city is diverse, with well known high street chains and individual local boutiques and businesses. Visit the Bailgate for a unique shopping experience or the city centre for a buzz of activity and shops. Find out about our regular farmer and craft markets or visit the Central Market for fresh produce, crafts, fabrics and more.

Check out our events pages for information on current and annual events.
