Walk and Ride bus service

Walk and Ride

The Walk and Ride service is Lincoln’s key public transport link between the uphill and downhill shopping areas.

We fund the service with additional support from Lincolnshire County Council who currently provide an annual grant of £30,000 towards the service.

The current Walk and Ride service operates as follows:

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: 10am to 5pm
  • Sundays: 12 noon to 5pm

Service operates 362 days per year.

Routes and stops:

All stops are on 20 minute frequency.

Silver Street, Castle Square, Northgate, Newport Arch, Westgate, Union Road, Park Street, Brayford, St Marks, St Mary’s Street, Wigford Way.

Current fees:

  • Adult - £1.40 single journey
  • Child - £0.70 single journey
  • Adult - £3 all day
  • Child - £1.60 all day
  • Bus passes - Free
