Risby Green is one of our group housing schemes that offers supported housing for older people. The scheme is in the south of the city in the popular neighbourhood of Hartsholme. It is close to Hartsholme Park, considered to be one of the best open spaces in the city.
There are a number of shops in the area including a grocery store, general store, hairdressers and fish and chip shop.
Two regular bus services go to the centre of the city, and a bus stop is just outside the scheme.
There are 40 self-contained one-bedroom flats at Risby Green. All the flats have their own front door, which gives you complete privacy in your home, and are designed for your independence. Each flat has a hall, living room, one bedroom, bathroom and a small kitchen with fitted units. All flats have an alarm system that you can use to call help in an emergency.
We let the property on a secure or introductory tenancy, giving you all the normal rights of any council tenant. However, you will not have the Right to Buy the property.
Risby Green has the following facilities available to residents:
- A common room where residents can meet and enjoy a wide variety of activities organised by the residents committee
- Communal laundry facilities
- A large communal garden
- Plenty of drying space
- Space to store and charge mobility scooters
The on-site scheme manager ensures that residents can receive all-round support in line with your support plan, which will be agreed with you soon after you move in.
The support plan is designed to your individual needs and requirements and will be reviewed at least every 6 months with your scheme manager.
