Lincoln Community Lottery players have raised more than £30,000 since August 2018 for 72 good causes in and around Lincoln.

Lincoln & District Indoor Bowling Club is currently the lottery’s top performing good cause for raising more than £2,800 through ticket sales, which will contribute towards a new carpet for the club’s indoor bowling green.

Lincoln City Radio is the second highest performer, raising more than £1,400. This is followed by Headway Lincolnshire with more than £1,000 and the Inis Cara School of Irish Dancing with more than £900 to date.

Sixty per cent of the price of a ticket goes directly to the lottery’s good causes and players are able to choose which good cause to donate their proceeds to.

Cllr Rosanne Kirk, Portfolio Holder for Reducing Inequality at City of Lincoln Council, said: “We are very pleased with how far the lottery has come and we have received some great feedback from our good causes and players alike.

“Lincoln Community Lottery is completely free for good causes to join, so we encourage all not-for-profit organisations, charities, clubs and even schools to register and use the lottery to raise some additional funds for their cause.

“Don’t forget, we have some exciting bolt-on prizes coming up - one is a £50 voucher for Doddington Hall which will be drawn on Saturday 29 June and there will be a number of other great prizes for our year anniversary in August, so watch this space!”

Players of the lottery can win a weekly £25,000 jackpot and smaller prizes by purchasing tickets on the lottery’s website.

Lincoln Community Lottery is a member of The Lotteries Council and fully supports and makes a contribution to the Gamble Aware charity.
