Allotment consultation 2017

Lincoln’s allotments are in line for a major boost as a large refurbishment programme gets underway. From November 2017, and for the following eighteen months, all 18 of the city's allotment sites will benefit from the investment of a significant sum of money to aid their renewal. This includes the establishment of a brand new site at Melbourne Road in Birchwood in conjunction with the Birchwood BIG local project.

The funding, which comes from the disposal of the former Ermine allotment site must, under the terms of the agreement with the Department for Communities and Local Government,  be reinvested to ensure there is no overall loss of allotment provision across the city and in improving the remaining allotments.

Officers have looked at past strategy and previous consultation responses, undertaken an extensive and up to date review of the current sites, and have developed an initial plan of what we would now like to do. We’d now like to share these with tenants and residents and we cordially invite you to come and view our proposals and have a chat with us about our plans.

Please come and see us during the ‘An Exciting Future for Lincoln’s Allotments’ roadshows to discover what we hope to do - we look forward to seeing you there.
