City of Lincoln Council By-Election for Witham Ward

Election of a City Councillor for the Witham Ward

  1. An Election is to be held of a City Councillor for the Witham Ward at the City of Lincoln Council
  2.  The number of Councillors to be elected for the Ward is 1
  3.  Nomination papers are available from a member of the Elections Team at reception, City of Lincoln Council, City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, who will at the request of any elector for the Ward, prepare for signature a nomination paper
  4. Nomination forms must be hand delivered to a member of the Elections Team at reception, City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln during the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than 4.00pm on Thursday 14 November 2019
  5. If an election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 12 December 2019
  6. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the City of Lincoln Council, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln by 12 midnight on Tuesday 26 November 2019. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
  7. New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the City of Lincoln Council, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln by 5pm on Tuesday 26 November 2019, if they are to be effective for this election
  8. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the City of Lincoln Council, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln by 5pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019, if they are to be effective for this election
  9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the City of Lincoln Council, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln by 5pm on Thursday 12 December 2019.
    The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019.
