First-time buyers will be given free advice on how to get on the property ladder at a special drop-in session this week.
Help to Buy Midlands will bring its roadshow to Lincoln on Thursday, July 2 to help aspiring home owners find out more about affording their dream home.
Help to Buy has already helped thousands of people to become home owners through its Equity Loan and Shared Ownership schemes and will now join forces with councils across the county in a bid to offer a helping hand to local people.
Paul Lockwood, Housing Solutions Team Leader at City of Lincoln Council, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to take the first step onto the housing ladder to come along and see the options available to achieve their dream of home ownership.”
The event will run from 10am until 2pm at City Hall, in Beaumont Fee, offering general mortgage advice from an independent financial adviser, Help to Buy options and an affordability assessment.
Rachel Harrison, Marketing and PR Officer at Help to Buy Midlands, said: “Our free events provide the perfect opportunity to find out more about the different Help to Buy options and how they can help make home ownership more affordable.”
Help to Buy is available to first-time buyers as well as current home owners looking to move.
