City of Lincoln Council is celebrating after attending the LABC Building Excellence Awards for the East Midlands on Friday 6 July. The team walked away with three awards as well as being nominated for a number of other awards.
The awards are to celebrate achievements in the construction industry, rewarding excellent buildings, outstanding companies and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile. It covers all local authorities in England and Wales and is split into 12 regions.
During the evening our department received the following three awards;
- Best Educational Building – Isaac Newton Building Lincoln University with BAM Construction and Maber Architects
- Highly Commended award for Best Educational Building – Constance Stewart Hall, Bishop Grossette University with LK2 Architects and Robert Woodheads
- LABC Non-residential Construction Professional of the Year – Rachel Casey with Ian Rainbow for BAM Construction on the Sarah Swift Building Lincoln University
Winners of each category are automatically shortlisted for the LABC Grand Finals which are held in Lincoln. The finals will be taking place on Friday 9 November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
