One of Lincoln’s most popular parks will join the celebrations for the Magna Carta 800th anniversary this summer.

You and your little ones are invited to join the rangers of Hartsholme Country Park for a feudal-themed event, which will feature seed planting and designing your very own family crest.

Magna Carta Crafts will take place on Sunday, June 14 from 1pm until 3pm.

There will be a charge of £3.50 for this event.

Education Ranger Douglas Hart, said: “This month we are joining the celebrations for the Magna Carta 800th anniversary with our very own themed event!

“Here at the park you can practise your skills with seed planting, design your own family crest to go on a shield and write out your own royal decree.”

The historic theme at the park will run until Tuesday, June 30, when a guided walk of Swanholme Lakes will take place.

There will be a charge of £2.50 for this event, which will run from 1pm until 3pm.

Don’t miss out - places are limited and booking is essential. For more information call the park rangers at Hartsholme Country Park on 01522 873735 or email hartsholmecp@lincoln.gov.uk
