Lincoln Community Lottery expands to neighbouring villages

Published: 11/04/2018

City of Lincoln Council has expanded the catchment area for its new community lottery to six miles from the city centre, allowing more good causes to take part.

Good causes are encouraged to come forward to take advantage of the new Lincoln Community Lottery, with over half of every ticket sale going to not-for-profit organisations that benefit the community in the city and surrounding areas.

A launch event will take place on Tuesday 5 June in Lincoln from 6pm to 8pm for representatives of all good causes in Lincoln and surrounding areas to attend.

Graham Rose, Project Manager for Lincoln Community Lottery, said: “We are looking forward to hosting an exciting and special event for good causes to mark the launch of our new lottery.

“We want as many good causes to benefit from it as possible and extending the radius allows more charities, voluntary sector and not-for-profit organisations in neighbouring villages to take advantage of accessing some additional funding to support their cause.”

If you are a good cause looking to take part, email lottery@lincoln.gov.uk to show your interest and to register your place at the event. The team will contact you with further details on the event and to confirm your place.
