Lincoln Community Lottery launch event to bring good causes together

City of Lincoln Council invites good causes in Lincoln and surrounding areas to attend an opening event ahead of the launch of Lincoln Community Lottery this summer.

The event will bring local good causes together to demonstrate how the lottery will work and discuss the additional funding support which will be made available through the new initiative, with over half of every lottery ticket sale going to local good causes.

The launch event will take place on Tuesday 5 June in Lincoln from 6pm to 8pm at Lincoln Drill Hall.

Cllr Ric Metcalfe, Leader of City of Lincoln Council, said: “This event will kick-start a great funding opportunity in an informal and fun way whilst showcasing exactly what the new lottery will bring to the people of Lincoln.

“By generating an additional source of income, we will have the means to help those in the community who go the extra mile for our city.

“We are looking for good causes that help the community in Lincoln and surrounding areas. If you think this could be your community group, charity or not-for-profit organisation, we would love to hear from you.”
