Mayor to host charity 60s night

Published: 11/03/2016

Now’s the time to revisit the swinging sixties as tickets have gone on sale for the Mayor of Lincoln’s Charity 60s Night.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 28 at Lincoln Golf Centre, LN6 9BW, in aid of raising money for the Mayor’s charity - LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service)

The Moggies, a legendary 60s band from North Lincolnshire, will be performing a selection of hits from the decade.

Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Andrew Kerry, said: “This is the perfect opportunity for a great night out reminiscing the sixties with friends and family - and enjoying live music, good food and drink.

“It will give everyone the chance to contribute to a deserving local charity, LIVES, who are a voluntary group that give up their time to respond to emergencies in your area with whom I am associated as a First Responder.

“Please come along, enjoy yourself and show your support.”

Attendees need to arrive at the venue at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tickets cost £25 each and include a carvery and dessert. For more information or to buy tickets call Charlie Powell, Civic and Executive Officer, on 01522 873507 or email civic@lincoln.gov.uk
