Teddy Bears' Picnic

Published: 14/03/2016

If you go down to the woods this summer you’re in for a big surprise - and you’d better have your teddy bear and picnic at the ready!

The Mayor of Lincoln’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Toy Story at a special event on Saturday, July 18 2015 at Hartsholme Country Park.

Little ones can take part in an array of fun-filled activities from 12pm until 4pm, such as a teddy bear treasure hunt, face painting, funfair rides, craft stalls, storytelling and the chance to meet characters from Disney’s Toy Story.

All donations will go towards the Mayor’s charity - LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service) - which will be promoting first aid during the event.

The Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Andrew Kerry, said: “I am very much looking forward to the return of the Teddy Bears’ Picnic this summer.

“There will be plenty for children of all ages to get involved in, as well as the opportunity to learn some vital life-saving skills.”

There will be a number of competitions for children - and teddy bears - to enter on the day, including:

  • Smallest Teddy Bear - entries must be submitted by 2.55pm
  • Largest Teddy Bear - entries must be submitted by 3.05pm
  • Best Dressed Teddy Bear - entries must be submitted by 3.15pm
