Universal Credit

Published: 14/03/2016

Did you know that Universal Credit will start to be rolled out in Lincoln, North Kesteven and West Lindsey from the end of November?

This will fundamentally change the way many tenants receive their Housing Benefit, which will be paid direct to the tenant - rather than to the landlord - one month in arrears, and as part of an overall larger payment of Universal Credit.

People need to know about these changes, and there are things you can start doing now to prepare.

An event is being held for private landlords and letting agents in the City of Lincoln, North Kesteven and West Lindsey districts from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 15, at the Alive Conference Centre, Newland, Lincoln.

A number of speakers will be presenting about Universal Credit, what this means for you as a landlord or letting agent, as well as an update on other key welfare reforms.
