The Lincoln Ice Trail is magical event of impressive ice sculptures and festive activities in the heart of our city in the Christmas season.
The Lincoln Ice Trail is returning for a second year on the 7th and 8th of December 2024 and we are super excited to be bringing you new sculptures to the city!
Be fascinated by the sculptures and follow the trail for an adventurous day out at Christmas time. Take the Ice Trail through Lincoln to see the city beautifully decorated with impressive, finely crafted sculptures, stopping along the way in the local retailers for a spot of Christmas shopping and making your way up the famous Steephill to experience the magic of historical uphill Lincoln at Christmas time.
Similar to last year, the sculptures will be spread in various locations across the city but this year we have ideas to make the event even better! Last year the city came to life with a programme of festive carol singers, visits from Frozen’s Elsa and Anna and fire dancing shows in the evening, making the event even more exciting. Again in 2024 we are offering businesses the chance to have their own ice sculpture as part of the Lincoln Ice Trail, including their own choice of design and location, as well as their logo on the base of the sculpture!
Last year the event attracted 130,000 visitors to the city and reached over 1 million people on our Facebook page! Our sponsorship packages give your business the opportunity to be part of the Ice Trail, by having your own sculpture in a prime area of central Lincoln during the busy run up to Christmas. By sponsoring, you are guaranteed significant exposure through the hundred thousand visitors admiring your sculpture and in the run up, our wide reach on social media.
