The 6,145 sq ft restaurant located in Central Lincoln Market will have two floors, a rum bar and an outdoor terrace.
Turtle Bay is set to arrive in Lincoln city centre this September. The Caribbean restaurant and bar will be landing in the city just in time to brighten up the autumn season, serving Caribbean-inspired soul food and tropical cocktails alongside laid-back reggae beats. The venue, set to join the exciting Central Lincoln Market community, will be Turtle Bay’s first restaurant in Lincolnshire, creating 35 jobs ahead of opening.
The 6,145 sq ft restaurant and bar will have a total of 218 covers (178 inside, 40 outside), and will be spread across two floors with its own dedicated first floor rum bar and roof terrace.
The ground floor will be home to a beautifully designed restaurant, featuring Turtle Bay’s trademark beach shack style interior, with vibrant blue and orange colourways, and walls covered with an eclectic selection of bespoke island-inspired artwork and murals.
The first floor will be a dedicated rum hideaway with its own outdoor terrace overlooking the city's exciting social area, Lincoln Cornhill Quarter. Guests can expect over 20 different types of rum at Turtle Bay, which forms the heart and soul of their famous tropical cocktail menu. The extensive collection of dreamy cocktails available include Turtle Bay OGs like the Reggae Rum Punch and Mai Tai Punch, as well as classic cocktails made with a TB twist, such as the Coconut Espresso Martini.
Turtle Bay’s Caribbean-inspired, all day menu is centred around their sizzling jerk pit BBQ. Guests can choose from Jerk Chicken, Rum BBQ Ribs,, Vegan Jerk “Chicken” and Jerk Salmon, all marinated to perfection and chargrilled on the grill.
The full menu is an all day island-style feast kicking off with brunch (and dishes like the Big Kingston Grill Down and the Island Brunch Bowl) followed by light and vibrant lunches including sunshine bowls, wraps and salads. There’s also some incredible burgers on the menu all day and night from the Shack Stack (double beef batties, jerk bacon, cheese and jerk mayo) to the completely plant-based Jackfruit & “Vegan Motherclucker” Burgers. Turtle Bay’s West Indian curries are another signature favourite and there’ll be six on the menu at the Lincoln restaurant including the famous Curry Goat, Curry Jackfruit and Trini Curry Prawn.
There’s a great menu of sharable small plates and sides including lots of vegan and vegetarian options, perfect for any time of day (and especially with a cocktail).
Colourful, vibrant, sometimes fiery this is a menu to unite the tribes, with an eclectic, considered collection of dishes all created by award-winning Jamaican-born Executive Chef Collin Brown.
Turtle Bay’s legendary bottomless brunch will also be served up daily. This two-hour long Caribbean cocktail and brunching experience includes unlimited Caribbean-inspired cocktails, mocktails, Red Stripe, and prosecco. Turtle Bay’s famous 2-4-1 cocktail happy hour includes all the cocktails on the menu and will be landing in Lincoln too.
