Eight locations for the Lincoln Monster Invasion have now been confirmed, creating a creepy tour of the city like no one has seen before.

Taking place from 23-29 October, visitors to Lincoln Monster Invasion will get the chance to see Lincoln from a whole new perspective...

During the half-term break, supported by Lincoln BIG, a total of eight gigantic inflatable monsters will invade Lincoln's rooftops from Castle Square, all the way down to the University of Lincoln.

The eight confirmed locations are:

1.    University of Lincoln Isaac Newton Building
2.    Nationwide, Lincoln High Street
3.    Turtle Bay, Sincil Street
4.    Waterside Shopping Centre
5.    Lincoln Bierkeller, Silver Street
6.    EQVVS, High Street
7.    Lincoln Castle, Heritage Skills Centre
8.    Exchequer Gate Arch, outside Lincoln Cathedral

As night falls, these monsters will illuminate to give visitors an opportunity to follow their glow for a spooktacular evening tour around the city.

Visitors can also look out for some extra special guests during the weekend. On Friday, 27 October, Ghostbusters will be joined by the Ecto-1 in Lincoln’s Cornhill, Saturday 28 October, the Ghostbusters will be out and about protecting the city streets in search for the monsters in Castle Square, and on Sunday 29 October, there will be a 'Monster Mash' flash mob located in the Cornhill area!

Cllr Naomi Tweddle, Portfolio Holder for Inclusive Economic Growth at City of Lincoln Council said: “Through significant consultation with residents, visitors and businesses, free activity during holidays for families and adults alike was requested and the monsters have proven incredibly popular in other cities nearby.

“During the day, the monsters are already impressive, spanning up to 7 metres high across rooftops, but they really come to life and give a new perspective of the city at night.

“Alongside enhancements through live entertainment during the weekend and Frequency Festival returning from 26-29 October, Lincoln Monster Invasion is set to be a fantastic event for all.”

Simon Beardsley, Managing Director at Lincoln BIG added: "We believe these giant inflatable monsters will be a brilliant addition to the city during half term, offering some light-hearted fun in Lincoln driving footfall to the area and supporting local businesses.

“With monsters around every corner in the city centre, located on various landmarks and iconic buildings, the Lincoln BIG team look forward to this new trail and hope everyone gets the chance to experience some seasonal fun with this spooky makeover!”
