Police and Crime Commissioner Elections - 2 May 2024

Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) are democratically elected every four years.  The next election is due to take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.

The Role of a Police and Crime Commissioner

Police Area Returning Officer

A Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) is responsible for the overall conduct of the Police and Crime Commissioner Election in a particular area. Specifically, their role includes liaising with Candidates and Agents and collation of the election result following the verification and counting of votes. 

City of Lincoln Council has been appointed as the PARO for the Lincolnshire area in the Police and Crime Commissioner Elections. Angela Andrews of the City of Lincoln Council has been designated the role of Police Area Returning Officer.
