We are responsible for the management and grounds maintenance of five cemeteries within the city.
Cremated remains
There are special plots available for cremated remains at Newport, St. Swithins and Long Leys Road cemeteries. Cremated remains can also be placed in purchased graves.
Please note that the scattering of cremated remains is not permitted in the City Cemeteries.
Burials
Burials can take place on any weekday, except on Bank/Public Holidays. Please talk to your funeral director to discuss any specific needs or contact us using our online form.
