Tell us about your business?

Saul Fairholm Ltd is a Chartered Accountancy firm with offices in Lincoln, Retford, and Grantham.

We became an independent company in 1987 but had a presence in Lincoln for a substantial time prior to that.
Our services cover everything from accounts and audit to self-assessment, payroll, and VAT. We are also experienced business advisers, whether you are looking to improve your business or buy or sell a business.

As well as acting for many multimillion-pound turnover businesses and various specialist organisations, our client base has traditionally been biased towards family-owned businesses, either in the form of incorporated bodies or partnerships, and the individuals behind them. By occupying this enviable position in the accountancy profession, as we do, no client is too small or too large for our friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable staff to provide an efficient, effective, and high-quality service. Our business is to help your business grow!

Why did you choose to sign up to the charter?

We first became aware of the Lincoln Social Responsibility Charter in 2018 and thought it was a brilliant idea and something that we would be proud to get involved with. As a local employer we realise that our staff provide a crucial role in ensuring the success of the business and the Charter has allowed us to evidence the support and development that we promote to our employees. We have a long history of sponsorship and fundraising in the local community and have supported many local organisations and events over the years. By signing up to the Charter we felt it was a great way to evidence the positive things that we do as a company and raise our profile as a responsible business looking to support staff, clients, and the community.

Have you noticed any positive changes since undertaking a range of socially responsible activities?

Some of our usual activities have been curtailed due to the pandemic but one of the positive benefits we have noticed since signing up for the charter is the resources and information that membership brings. Previously the Lincoln Responsibility Charter group meetings have been very beneficial and a great way to gather ideas from the council and local businesses and network with other individuals/companies.

Do you have any words for a business looking to sign up to the charter?

Give it a go! This is a very positive initiative for all businesses in the local area to be part of.
