Collection frequency and schedule
Food waste is collected weekly on your usual bin collection day.
Equipment provided
- Indoor kitchen caddy: 5 litres, grey with lid, for food waste storage indoors.
- Outdoor caddy: 23 litres, black with orange lid, for kerbside collections.
- Liners: Initial supply included to keep caddies clean and facilitate emptying.

Communal bins
Residents who use communal bins for collection of refuse and recycling have access to a 140 litre orange lidded outdoor bin, to use in conjunction with existing collection arrangements. These communal food waste bins will be routinely washed.
Using and maintaining your caddies
- Line the indoor caddy with liners, newspaper, or an old plastic bag.
- Empty the indoor caddy regularly into the outdoor caddy.
- Wash caddies when necessary; the indoor caddy is dishwasher safe up to 60°C.
