“I started setting up the business in Autumn 2000 and traded from a purpose built office attached to my home in Lincoln until we moved into a double office (50 sq.metres) in Greetwell Place in 2008.  We were a team of 4 so product procurement, sales, administration and accounting were all functions that we learned to multitask.

Trading during the years of recession following the 2008 credit crunch stifled our growth plans, but we were well supported by the team at Greetwell Place who were always available to offer assistance and advice with the various government grants, tax reliefs and assistance schemes available to us as a SME operating in tough trading conditions. The Small Business Support Team were always available for advice and assistance. Their knowledge of the various assistance schemes and local government was invaluable to us, giving us an insight, which contributed greatly to our participation.

During the years from 2008 – 2013, the business grew, and we took on additional staff. This led to renting a further office, then again in 2014 we expanded to a third office. In 2018, we took on a fourth office making a total of 125 sq metres to comfortable accommodate 10 staff, and a business turnover in excess of £9M.

In 2020, as we all know too well, the Pandemic came which was devastating for our country and our world and particularly for the travel industry. Whilst we were busy ensuring our customers didn’t lose their deposits or holidays, we were especially grateful to the team at Greetwell Place who arranged for government grants to cover our office rent.

The recovery post Covid has resulted in further growth to the business and an opportunity to acquire an office building which will satisfy any future growth we are blessed with. The only downside is we no longer have the in-house Business Support and assistance of the team at Greetwell place, we now do all the office building management and running ourselves, and between contracting for utilities, maintenance, cleaning, gardening, security, fire, H&S, insurance etc, I value even more than ever the services I sometimes took for granted at Greetwell Place.”
