Commercial waste and recycling

We do not offer services to dispose of commercial waste

  • All businesses, no matter how small, are legally obliged in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, to make formal arrangements for the disposal of their waste.
  • Our officers carry out checks of Traders agreements for refuse collection. Action will be taken against those who do not have formal arrangements and/or attempt to dispose of trade waste through the domestic waste collection service. Failure to provide a Duty of Care documentation to our officers is £300; failure to produce the information can result in prosecution with a maximum fine of £5,000.
  • Please be aware it is an offence to attempt to use the council’s domestic waste services to dispose of trade waste.

At the current time we do not offer any services to dispose of commercial waste.

However, you can contact a recognised waste collector
