Nuisance Vehicles

Abandoned Vehicles

Vehicles parked for a long period of time aren't always considered to be abandoned, the owner may be away from home or unable to drive.

If the vehicle is on the owners own private property (such as in the vehicle owners garden), it is not considered abandoned. However it may be considered antisocial and you can report it to our anti-social behaviour team.

If the vehicle has been abandoned on your land then you should report it to us.

If the vehicle is in a dangerous state of repair you should report it to us.

If the vehicle has not moved for more than four weeks and you have additional evidence or reason to believe it has been abandoned you should report it to us.

Foreign plated vehicles

Currently foreign plated vehicles cannot be dealt with by the City of Lincoln Council they should be reported to the DVLA or the Police on 101 (non emergency number) over a 6 month period - this is the length of time that a vehicle can be in the UK before being registered.

However, if the vehicle is in a dangerous state of repair you should report it to us.
