You can use this service to apply for a Housing Payment (HP)
A Housing Payment is a payment we can give to you to help you if you are struggling to pay your rent or council tax.
We can only consider the Housing Payment if your circumstances justify extra financial help.
Before you start
To apply for a Housing Payment, you need:
- To be receiving Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support or Universal Credit with housing costs
- You do not get full benefit - you currently have to pay something towards your rent or council tax
- Details of your debts, income and any savings or assets
- Details of your bills and outgoings
We treat every claim individually. The overall amount of extra payment is restricted by government limits.
