Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve comprises of 200 acres of woodland, meadow, heathland and wetland where children can learn about the natural environment. We welcome visits from school, youth, community and adult groups and offer both Ranger and self-led activities.

Sessions and activities

We have an Education Ranger who can lead all or part of your visit, using our education areas. Sessions and activities are available for all ages from pre-school to adult. Alternatively, we can facilitate a self led visit led by your own staff.

We have a varied programme of activities, which can be seen in the Education Leaflet -available in the download section.  These are linked to the national curriculum, and all sessions are flexible and can be tailored to suit your group.
