Get creative this festive season with Lincoln’s Christmas craft workshops!

With activities aimed at adults, children and toddlers, there’s something for everyone in Lincoln’s parks this Christmas. Join the city’s park rangers for a series of fun and festive craft workshops.

To get into the festive spirit, adults and young teens can learn the art of traditional Christmas wreath making. Participants can create their own decorations to adorn their home this Christmas.

There are several wreath making workshops at different locations across Lincoln:

  • Thursday 4 December, 10am – 12:30pm – St Swithin’s Community Centre, Croft Street, LN2 5AZ
  • Friday 5 December, 10am – 12:30pm – Boultham Park Bowls Pavilion, Rookery Lane, LN6 7PH
  • Saturday 6 December, 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm – Hartsholme Country Park, Skellingthorpe Road, LN6 0EY
  • Sunday 7 December, 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm – Hartsholme Country Park

Alternatively, if wreath making isn’t your thing, bring to life your mantelpiece, banister, or top of doorway with your very own Christmas garland. In this workshop you will learn what foliage to use, how to assemble the garland and, most importantly, how to care for it throughout the festive season!

The garland making workshop will take place on 8 December at 10am to 12.30pm and again from 1:30pm to 4pm inside the Visitor Centre at Hartsholme Country Park.

Each of the wreath and garland making workshops costs £30 per person and booking is essential.

To keep children and toddlers entertained, bring them along for hands-on, festive activities.

A Toddler Time activity will be taking place at Hartsholme Country Park on Friday, 19 December from 10am to 11am. This activity is aimed at children under five where they can join the park rangers and dress to get messy as they take part in different Christmas activities.

For older children, the Christmas crafts event is a perfect option. They’ll be able to make decorations out of all sorts of materials in time for the big day!

This event will be taking place at Boultham Park Bowls Pavillion from 10am to 11:30am and at Hartsholme County Park from 1pm to 2:30pm on Monday, 22 December.

Please note there is a £4 fee per child for both the Toddler Time and Christmas Crafts events.

All activities are led by friendly park rangers who will guide participants through creative projects designed to spark holiday cheer.

Spaces are limited for all sessions, so early booking is recommended. To reserve your place, email hartsholmecp@lincoln.gov.uk or call 01522 873735.

Celebrate the season, unleash your creativity, and make magical memories with your family at Lincoln’s festive craft workshops!
