City of Lincoln Council is pleased to announce that Boultham Park Pavilion has reopened for public hire, creating a welcoming space for community groups, schools and families to enjoy.
The pavilion, located next to the park’s grass tennis courts, closed in 2021 following the disbanding of the bowls club. More recently, it has been used by the Local Landscapes and Hidden Histories project to host activities and events.
As of this month, the pavilion is once again available to hire for a range of uses, including classroom sessions, home education groups, school visits, community meetings, children’s parties and as a wet weather base for activities taking place in the park.
The facility includes a main room, basic kitchen facilities consisting of a kettle and fridge, toilets, including accessible toilets, changing facilities and access to an enclosed outdoor green space.
Cllr Rebecca Longbottom, Portfolio Holder for Remarkable Place at City of Lincoln Council, said:
“It’s fantastic to see Boultham Park Pavilion back open for the community. This is a great space in one of Lincoln’s most popular parks, and we’re pleased it can be used by local groups, schools and families once again. We hope it becomes a well-used community asset that supports activities and brings people together.”
The pavilion is available to hire for £12.10 per hour, with a £5.90 booking fee.
