Important information

Lincoln Central Car Park is a pay on foot car park whereby an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system registers your number plate at a barrier at the time of entry.  You must then enter your registration number at one of the payment machines before returning to your car to pay for your parking session.  A cost is calculated based on the time you entered the car park.  Once you have paid, you can return to your vehicle and exit the car park, the barrier will automatically raise, if payment has been made.

Payment for parking can be made on the ground floor at either the Bus Station side entrance or the Cornhill entrance, and additional machines are located in the lobbies on floors 1 and 2.  The majority of the machines are contactless only, but payment can be made using contactless, chip & PIN or coins using the specific machines located on the ground floor (1 within each lobby). Please note that the machines do not take notes and do not give change.

Further information
54 of our 56 pay and display machines take credit/debit card payments.

Most of our car park machines accept cash.

All of our car parks - except for Lincoln Central - operate a pay by phone service.

The machines rely on a mobile phone signal to process payments. If a payment fails it is not likely to be a fault with the machine. It may be due to lack of available signal at that time, if this happens you may wish to try to repeat your payment or try the machines that take contactless and chip & PIN.
Sometimes when a card has been tapped using contactless multiple times, the Bank's security processes require the customer to enter their PIN number in order to verify the payment.
