This walk will take you back through time to when Hartsholme was a thriving estate to the present day country park. The walk is 3 miles long and will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. There is no charge this event and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Discover the Herons of Hartsholme Country Park14 April 2018Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th Join the Lincolnshire Local Group of the RSPB and ‘Make A Date With Nature’, by taking part in the annual Heron Watch to discover and learn more about these giants of the bird world. Spring Fair12 May 2018 11am to 4pmCome along join us for the annual Spring Fair, where you will be able to treat yourself by browsing the local produce stalls and be entertained by the performances and fair ground rides!! The event is run by the Hartsholme Country Park Advisory Group. Some charges for activities may apply. Toilet and refreshment facilities are available and there is plenty of onsite parking. Walk In the Woods17 May 2018 11am to 1pmJoin Park Rangers for the Tree Councils annual “Walk In The Woods” event by taking part in a guided walk to discover the trees of Hartsholme Country Park. Find out about some of the interesting trees that can be found, and learn the basics of tree identification. The walk is 3 miles long and will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Orienteering21 August 2018 12.00pm to 3.00pm Put your orienteering skills into practice on a choice of three self-led routes around the Park set up by the Lincoln Orienteering Club. The aim of the activity is to navigate in sequence between a set of control points on the map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time! There is a charge of £3.50 for the maps and they are available from the Visitor Centre. The walk will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. This event is free of charge and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for all age groups.
