Long Leys Neighbourhood Forum supporting documents

Long Leys Residents Association (LLRA) were designated as a Neighbourhood Forum on 23rd November 2018 by the City of Lincoln Council. Since designation, LLRA have been preparing a Neighbourhood Plan for the Long Leys area.

Under Section 61F(8) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, the designation status expires exactly five years from the day it is formally approved by the local council which means that Neighbourhood Status for LLRA ceased on 22 November 2023.

If a forum is not re-designated after five years, it loses its legal power to represent the community in preparing, updating, or monitoring a neighbourhood development plan.

In order to continue to work on the development of their Neighbourhood Plan in accordance with Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, on 31st August 2026, LLRA made an application to the City of Lincoln Council for LLRA to be re-designated as a Neighbourhood Forum. 

In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, a copy of the proposed Neighbourhood Forum application and supporting information is available to view. 

Representations on the application are invited for a period of 6 weeks with any representations on the application to be submitted by email to:

All representations must be made in writing (including electronically) by 30th October 2026.

Note: Once a Neighbourhood Forum has been designated for the area another cannot be designated for the area until the existing expires or is withdrawn.

A summary of any representations received, and the Council’s decision notice will be published on the website following the completion of the 6-week consultation period.
