What to do before our repair visit

Make sure you, or somebody over the age of 18, are at your property for the appointment. We will not come into your home if there are no adults present.

If the repair involves moving furniture, lifting carpets, or stripping wallpaper you should do this before we arrive.

Move any personal belongings away from the work area, so they don’t get damaged. If you have young children, you must make sure that they are kept away from tools and machinery whilst we work in your home.

What happens during our repair visit

We will try to complete your repair on the day of the appointment. However, in some cases we may need to inspect a repair before we do any work to make sure we have the right fixtures, fittings and tools for the job.

If we can't complete the repair on the day, we will arrange another appointment with you before we leave.

When carrying out repairs we will always:

  • Wear personal protective equipment

  • Use dust sheets

  • Carry out work in a neat and tidy manner

  • Remove all waste from your home when the repair is complete

We will not leave unfinished repair work unattended without letting you know first. If we must do this, we will make sure the work area is left safe.
