Lincoln Housing Strategy 2020-2025

Our Housing Strategy sets out how we will work together with our partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors to meet housing demand and improve standards across all tenures in the city.

New Decent Homes Standard

Following the government announcing the introduction of the New Decent Homes standard in 2026. The City of Lincoln Council has established a working group to assess the implications of the new standards and develop a mobilisation plan for ensuring our housing stock complies with the new standards. The working group initially consists of senior officers within the Directorate of Housing and Investment along with resident involvement and the finance team members. The reformed Decent Homes Standard includes Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) improving the quality of rented homes in England. Please look out for further communication on our website, social media and Tenant Talk magazine.
