Resident Involvement Information

Get Involved!

Do you want to improve your housing service for you and all tenants and leaseholders? Do you want your voice to be  heard and have your view represented to receive a service that is approved by you? Would you like to get involved and improve your skills?

Resident involvement offers you a way for you as the tenant or leaseholder to put forwards your ideas and suggestions to improve your housing service.

We understand that you may not have the time to join one of our groups, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get involved. You can still have your say through the comfort of your home as it’s your opinion that matters the most.

We also organize fun events that you can attend, keep an eye out on our Facebook page: City of Lincoln Council – Resident Involvement which includes:

  • Family fun days which we organise
  • Community events in your local area
  • Information regarding Council services
  • Home suggestions e.g. Recipes for the family to enjoy
  • And so much more…

If you do have time, we have numerous groups you can join, which have many benefits including:

  • Influencing decisions
  • Communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Receive training
  • Written skills
  • Meeting residents in the community exchanging ideas and making new friends
  • Useful to be placed on your CV
  • If you reach a certain level of involvement, you may become eligible for a £10 voucher

We are also open to hearing your ideas for new groups. To find out more, please contact us using the details below:

What's in it for me?

Resident involvement is a really good way for you to help influence and improve housing services. If you feel like you have something to offer, whether it be ideas, opinions or your time, we want to hear from you.

Besides the opportunity to influence decisions, resident involvement gives you the opportunity to learn new skills. These include enhancing your communication skills, written skills, negotiation skills, organisations skills and team working. Whatever you want to do, we will make sure we provide you with the necessary training.

Skills and training that you can take from resident involvement will also be useful in other areas of employment and will look really good on your CV.

It is also a chance to meet other residents in the community, exchange ideas and make new friends. We have resident groups that even have their own bingo sessions and trips to the sea-side.

Additionally, if you reach a certain level of involvement you may become eligible for a £10 gift voucher!
