Severely mentally impaired
A 25 per cent Council Tax discount is given to those who are severely mentally impaired.
The definition of severely mentally impaired is:
“a person who has a severe impairment of intelligence and social functioning (however caused) that appears to be permanent”
If all occupiers of the property are severely mentally impaired, an exemption (100 per cent discount) will be awarded.
