Tenants with dispersed alarms live in general needs accommodation, rather than Independent Living schemes. The Independent Living team will fit an alarm in the property that is linked to Lincare control centre emergency service.
They will be able to assist tenants by contacting either the Independent Living Coordinator, a family member, friend or emergency services dependent on what is needed.
The Independent Living Coordinators will visit approximately every six months to check the equipment and check with the tenants that there have been no changes to their circumstances.
The Independent Living Coordinators will attend more regularly should they need to, dependent on their support plans or changes to the tenants’ circumstances. The dispersed alarms are fitted to give tenants the reassurance that they can summon help should they need it.
