How do you make a request relating to your personal data

You can make a data rights request referred to as a ‘Data subject access request’ verbally if you wish or in writing although the council encourages the use of its online form which sets out the information, we require to process this, including proof of identity.

If we are not sure the person making the request, is you or someone authorised by you, we must refuse this. This will not be processed further until we receive proof of identity and if relevant authority from you to appoint a representative.
